ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

01. Follow and maintain procedures to achieve a safe working environment in


line with occupational health and safety regulations and requirements.

02. Recognize and report all unsafe situations according to site policy.

03. Identify and take necessary precautions on fire and safety hazards and
report according to site policy and procedures.

04. Identify, handle and store / dispose off dangerous/unsalvageable goods


and substances according to site policy and procedures following safety
regulations and requirements.

05. Identify and observe site policies and procedures in regard to illness or
accident.

06. Identify safety alarms accurately.

07. Report supervisor/ Competent of authority in the event of accident or


sickness of any staff and record accident details correctly according to
site accident/injury procedures.

08. Identify and observe site evacuation procedures according to site policy.

09. Identify Personal Productive Equipment (PPE) and use the same as per
related working environment.

10. Identify basic first aid and use them under different circumstances.

11. Identify different fire extinguisher and use the same as per requirement.

12. Identify environmental pollution & contribute to avoidance of same.

13. Take opportunities to use energy and materials in an environmentally


friendly manner

14. Avoid waste and dispose waste as per procedure

SPECIFIC LEARNING OUTCOME :
Practical Plan and organize the work to make job as per specification
Sr. No. 02 applying different types of basic fitting operation and Check for
dimensional accuracy. Basic fitting operation – Marking, Hacksawing,
11 to 25 Chiseling, Filing, Drilling, Taping and Grinding etc. Accuracy: ± 0.25mm

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

01. Plan & Identify tools, instruments and equipment for marking and make this
available for use in a timely manner.

02. Select raw material and visual inspect for defects.

03. Mark as per specification applying desired mathematical calculation and


observing standard procedure.

04. Measure all dimensions in accordance with standard specifications and


tolerances.

05. Identify Hand Tools for different fitting operations and make these available for
use in a timely manner.

06. Prepare the job for Hacksawing, chiselling, filing, drilling, tapping, grinding.

07. Perform basic fitting operations viz., Hacksawing, filing, drilling, tapping and
grinding to close tolerance as per specification to make the job.

08. Observe safety procedure during above operation as per standard norms and
company guidelines.

09. Check for dimensional accuracy as per standard procedure.

10. Avoid waste, ascertain unused materials and components for disposal, store
these in an environmentally appropriate manner and prepare for disposal.

information.

05. Demonstrate possible solutions and agree tasks within the team.

06. Make components according to the specification for different fit using a range
of practical skills and ensuring interchange ability of different parts.

07. Assemble components applying a range of skills to ensure proper fit.

08. Check functionality of components.

05. Mount the work and tool holding devices with required alignment and check
for its functional usage to perform lathe operations.

06. Solve problem by applying basic methods, tools, materials and information
during setting.

07. Observe safety procedure during mounting as per standard norms.

08. Produce components observing standard procedure.

09. Check accuracy/ correctness of job using appropriate equipment/gauge.

10. Avoid waste, ascertain unused materials and components for disposal, store
these in an environmentally appropriate manner and prepare for disposal.
