How I Came to Know Jesus As My Lord God and Savior

Since I was a child, I have learned about Jesus from my grandmother and my
mother. I remember they told me about Jesus that he is the son of God and he is God. They
always told us every holy week that Jesus is sacrificing and in pain because they crucified Him
on the cross because of our sins. They also told us how to pray or talk to God in whatever state
of our life. I observed them and heard how they praised God without understanding and asked
why I didn't see whom they were talking to. Until we went together to the church, I saw pastors
who were praying to God. I still remember that we were afraid of being separated from our
mother, because we were not used to interacting with other people. But the elders were
explained that we would be taught about God and were attracted to foods so we could always
go with them.
So, we learned to color beautiful stories from the bible. They Taught the birth of Jesus and why
Christmas is celebrated, but they have more stories or teachings about the old testaments. So,
after they tell and explain, we are given coloring books, and they let us recite and memorize
what we’ve learned from the bible. But it was not yet clear how I knew God and how to pray
correctly! from grade 1 and in the past year.
Until I was taken to the orphanage in Missionaries of Charity Aparri Cagayan, I
continued my second grade there. And found out I have a disease called TB or tuberculosis. I
had fun going to school because I was top 1 in the class. Until I was baptized at St. Peter
Thelmo Parish Catholic Church in Aparri. I was delighted during this time because my favorite
nun became my godmother. Here started a deep relationship with the Lord Jesus. Through the
kind and loving nuns, I felt the presence of God, the Lord Jesus, that he lives and dwells in
everyone, no matter who they are. I can say that my spiritual experience was different, at this
time, because God made me experience this kind of life, I learned from the nuns how to
approach and pray to God. In the life eof people who is He? Above all, He is the most important!
Center of life! So, he must be prioritized and loved above all. To him, life comes! I also learned
from them the value of life because they care for disabled children and fellow poor who are most
in need. For me very memorable this season. Because my deep relationship with Lord Jesus
was formed even when I was young. I was deeply saddened when the time come that superior
sister, Bernadette, needed to be transferred to other places. Because she was the one who

made me feel special back then. Because it was required that all the children go on vacation
After that, the nuns took me and my brother Mark John and my sister, Jamaica, to our home in
the mountain. When I came back, in the orphanage, most of the people I was with were gone;
Both with other kids who became my brothers and friends there. Until I found out that they
would never return to the orphanage. During the few months I stayed there when my mother
and grandmother visited me, and I decided to go home and continue my study in our place.
I returned to our place and continued the third grade in our school at Maxingal,
starting grade 3 until I graduated from elementary. This is where my relationship with my family
began to change. I remember being a polite and obedient child during my short stay at M.C. I
brought home what I had learned and experienced and shared with my loved ones, including my
relatives, the love of God I experienced from the sisters and kept in my heart the happy
memories they brought to me-- for a long time, I deed to my love ones.
But from grade 3 until I finished grade 7, I can say that I have had many experiences that will be
bitter or can be said to be worse. However, God still shows me that he won't leave me, even in
the worst part of my life! Whenever I am weakened and discouraged because of trials, I think I
do not want to face and even experience them at a young age. Even if I strayed from the right
way, he accepted me again and continued to rise and move on in life. He gave me hope to
continue to achieve a better future. Until I finished grade 7 in National High School, the time
came for the Lord to take me back to Missionaries of Charity. And the new nuns welcomed me
again, and I appreciated their warm welcome. Here again, I felt the hope to change our living
conditions,
so, from grade 8, I was transferred to Aparri East National High School. Until graduating Senior
High. As I continued, I saw the light again because it was from my dark past. God shows me
that all of this has a purpose, that he controls everything, and that he is more significant than my
problem or sin! and his plans are better than my plan. At this time, I am now under the care of
the nuns again; I can't help but think of my family. But I have confidence in the Lord that he will
care for my loved ones as I continue my studies. But the point is increasing my acquaintance
with the Lord God, from the sister's teachings to us every time we have catechism class; I
gradually realize the importance of life. I am from God and am for him; God made humans to
know, serve, love, be with him forever, and be happy with him after this life. I also learned that
he is one but has three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit. One God
who created and owns my life, I have known Jesus, by the nuns serving those who are in need;
the basis of their service is they do that because they love Jesus and based on their trust in the
word and will of God that whatever they do in these little things they did to Jesus, I also learned
that Lord Jesus is God, and his love and thirst, are infinite; he who created the universe asks for
love from his creatures, so we have been created for more incredible things to love and to be
loved. from Quotes of St. Mother Teresa. I have also known The attributes of God; he is One,
True, Living, Eternal, infinite, incomprehensible, perfectly happy, transcendent, unique, pure in
Spirit, Simple, unchangeable, most sublime, almighty, and immense.

Another opportunity that the Lord God continues to reveal himself to me is--at this present time,
In the beautiful place where the Lord took me and sheltered me, which is the Bukal ng Buhay,
He introduced me that he is the fountain of Life and a merciful God, in three years I have lived in
the Bukal ng Buhay my knowledge of God has deepened, By listening to his holy word, Through
the Homily of the Priest, by Reflections, of Nanay Letty, and sister Adora, sister, Joy. and to all
the people whom God's instruments, he is righteous, holy, and chooses the sinner and the weak
to do his will; his holy word is mighty; he loved those whom he disciplined, he is the greatest
healer, A forgiving and generous God, A great blessing, he will never leave and truly listens. He
is the true happiness, the truth and the life path, consoler, a faithful friend of all, and a God of
Order. He is my shelter, my provider, my everything; he is perfect, non -judgmental, gentle to
speak, a God of silence and peace; he is a jealous God; because he wants him to be first in our
life. I also know him wisdom and guidance by the people he chooses and uses, as in the lives of
nuns, priests, and fellow’s poor. Also, in the lives of sinners. He will not be understood by
people who do not have a deep relationship with him. understanding, tender, guider, kind A king
need to be served and praised. Above all A God Who loves and cares each everyone.
