Dear Gabriel,
You should come to visit my country, Peru. It is one of the most
interesting countries in South America. It has one of the most unusual
places—Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is one of the new Seven Wonders
of the World. It is an ancient Inca site, located high in the Andes
Mountains. It was the estate of the Inca emperor Pachacuti. You can visit
the ruins of over 150 buildings, including houses, temples, and public
buildings. One of the most famous places there is the Temple of the
Sun. It has wonderful architecture. Don’t miss the Temple of the Three
Windows. It has a fantastic view of the Andes Mountains.
The best time to visit Peru is from May to September. That is the driest
period. The busiest time is around our national holiday, July 28th, so it is
better to travel before or after that date. If you come in the wintertime,
you can experience one of our most exciting festivals, the Festival of
