through face-to-face or online. Draft your possible questions first. Make sure your
questions will tackle concerns about the factors or the reasons of their employment
abroad. Three questions will do.

Question # 1. What is your purpose for coming abroad?
Response:
My purpose for coming here or working here is to help my husband with our finances
and to have job that will support the needs of my children and also their school.
Question #2. What are the benefits you get by working abroad?
Response:
Aside from additional income of course, the best thing of working abroad is that I am
able to go in different place while I have an day off. I can also go to the park near in
our area with also my co-filipino workers to have a bonding time
Question # 3. How does working abroad help your family?
Response:
For me being a housewife and now being an OFW, it was really great help for me and
also to my family. Even though my salary is not much high, at least im able to help my
needs of my husband and children, I also able to provide my children needs at school,
we now live more convenient compared to the life we had before.

Summary of answers: Ma’am Imelda started working when she was 55 years old in
Nagoya Japan and her purpose of working abroad is to help her family financial
support and also for the education of her children. Even though her salary is not
much high as long as she able to help the needs of her children. Her life is much
better than before.
Conclusion: Being far with your love ones is not easy it requires strength,
perseverance and hard work. Working in overseas has a lot of pain while working
abroad you suffered pain because you miss your family but sometimes practicality
wins over your emotions. Being and overseas filipino worker (OFW) is really hard but
it’s really happy when there personal sacrifice give their family a comportable life
despite of fighting there homesickness.
