Title: ENHANCED LITERACY IN THE COMMUNITY

Theme: “Transforming the Nation, through Literacy Education”

Target Date and Time:

 April 29, 2023 / 8:00AM to 12:00PM

 Every Tuesday and Thursday / 10:00AM – 11:30 AM

Target Venue: Barangay Iberica, Labo Camarines Norte - Covered Court

II. Rationale and Brief Description of the Training

An empowered young person recognizes their capabilities, self-

determination and worth. They feel comfortable trying new things. They have the
confidence to take risks and are aware that failure is a step toward progress, not
a sign to give up. They don't use the opinions of others as their guideposts in life.
This is adherent to the functions of LTS students which is to implement different
programs or activities that will provide information and knowledge to its fellow
youth in becoming good citizens of their country.

This activity is a reading session. The reading session with all the
daycare students of Brgy. Iberica, Labo, Camarines Norte. This session with the
LTS students will help the children of this barangay become ready as they move
forward in the kindergarten. Also, this activity will help not only the community but
also the LTS students to experience teaching and volunteerism that can enhance
them personally and professionally.
This activity is beneficial to the children and the youth. It can create self
awareness and self confidence within and build a strong foundation inside them.
And as a LTS students, it is our opportunity to share our thoughts and learned
from them too.

III. Objectives

A. General Objectives

 The participants are expected to become literate in the different

aspects of their lives. Also, become responsible youths in the
community, they can also be a good role model to their barangay, to
their fellow youths rather. And they are expected to have positive
perspective on their lives.

B. Specific Objectives

 To enhance the literacy level of the daycare students of Iberica, Labo

Camarines Norte.

 To equip the children with knowledge on literacy specifically on

reading.

 To address the different present issues and concerns of the children in

the community.

 To enhance the literacy skills of the children in the community.

 To inform the children on the positive effect of reading session

IV. Methodology of the Training / Activity

 The session will start in Day 1 with the tracing activity. On the next day,
the activity will be alphabets followed by reading, coloring, counting,
presenting of body parts and for the last activity is presenting of basic
shapes. This will be held during Tuesday and Thursday every morning.
