Animals

cow-stand-black-cbj sheep-stand1-cbj (converted from FSX)

cow-stand-brown-cbj (msfs library) RJCK-cows
in back ground (msfs library SimObject) Horse_color (animated)

These look good close up and as with all objects in this library they use LOD (get simpler as they get further
away). The final models have only 5 triangles and can be seen long distance so go nuts and stick a large
herd/flock in with little effect on frame rates.
Placing can be done easily by locating a few in random directions then selecting them (Shift Lclick drag) and
hitting ‘Duplicate’. Move the copied group and change the angle. Repeat on the new larger group.

Longer building?
Add 2 together. Scale the first building to get the correct width then ‘Duplicate’ (‘Scenery Editor’ box) for
the second. The pitch may need to be adjusted to match the ground slope (adjust both to same) OR adjust
height on lower one (untick ‘Snap to ground’ in ‘Properties’ box and enter new values in ‘Offset to ground’
option that appears)

hangar-arched-fabric-aqua-25x30-cbj hangar-arched-fabric-white-25x30-cbj

These come with a low canvas floor. The ‘pitch’ and ‘bank’ angles need to be a adjusted to match the
ground as in real life (easiest to type new values in the boxes). They may still need raised a little to show
the whole floor (untick the ‘Snap to ground’ in the ‘Properties’ box and enter new values in ‘Offset to
ground’ option that appears). They can also be lowered a little ~0.1m to remove the floor and show the
ground.

hangar-double-40x35x4-cbj
hangar-open-side-56x18x7-cbj hangar-side-door-56x18x7-cbj

These come with a low floor. The ‘pitch’ and ‘bank’ angles need to be adjusted to match the ground
(easiest to type new values in the boxes). They may still need raising a little to show the whole floor (untick
the ‘Snap to ground’ in the ‘Properties’ box and enter new values in ‘Offset to ground’ option that
appears).

Any aircraft in them will sit on the ground so raise floor as little as possible. When placing aircraft always
untick ‘Snap to ground’ in the ‘Properties’ box and carefully raise the height until the aircraft just hops
which will place it at the right height otherwise they tend to jump around a bit. It is possible to raise them
a little using this technique.

Open Hangar Notes

1. These are more complex (hangar09 the most) than closed hangars. They have been optimized and are a
fraction of the load on the video card of the original 'Open Hangar Library' by Windhover ( by cutting the
number of triangles by more than 40% and using LOD to get simpler as they get further away). They are
still a load on the video card so avoid big numbers of them at one airport.
When placing aircraft
always untick ‘Snap to ground’ in the ‘Properties’ box and carefully raise the height until the aircraft just
hops which will place it at the right height otherwise they tend to jump around a bit. It is possible to raise
them a little using this technique.
Hay bales
These are to place in paddocks where all those white dots are in MSFS
Pitch = -89.99 to stand single bales on their end
Bales are 1.8m diameter 1.5m long
Multiples:- Place them end to end at the nearest 90 deg angle to finished direction. Select them all
(Shift+Lclick drag ) then adjust Pitch to match slope of the hill (typing values). Now adjust heading.

Length measure (ruler to measure distances when producing scenery)

length-measure-cbj length in meters

Use to measure features in MSFS.

Use it to align objects (cones fences etc)

Find distance in google earth then use the length-measure to help place objects

Example :- distance between fence lines

Use Scale if you need longer measurement (or use Duplicate to add another)

For vertical heights:- 1. Adjust heading if required. 2. Pitch = 89.9 (not 90)

Be sure to remove it in the final product 

Medical Transfer Station

medical-trans-station10x12-cbj medical-trans-station5x12-cbj
Obstacle lights - Available in 2 versions.
Original “Scenery” versions -- maintains backward compatibility for old sceneries (don’t use)

New “SimObject” versions -- different day/night models (avoids the day time big object problem)

READ THIS:- ‘SimObject’ lights have an MSFS bug that sometimes causes them to drop back
to ground level when viewed from a distance. This seems to only affect them when they are
positioned on sloping ground. To test for this bug turn on ‘Options > Debug model LODs’
(makes them easy see). Now go back into the distance and watch the LODs and they will
suddenly drop down to ground level (disappear from high up). If everything is OK they will
stay high until the S:0.50 value drops below 0.5 when the model disappears due to small
size. Problems or even the slightest doubt then use ‘Scenery’ version (unless the daytime
big object problem is more important).

obstacle-light-steady-
obstacle-light-flash-
blue-cbj green-cbj red-cbj white-cbj yellow-cbj

-modern LED type so appear white (no color lens) in the day
- for placing on tall towers etc
-can be seen from a long distance (6+ nm)
-place by moving to the bottom of tower then raising (untick the ‘Snap to ground’ in the ‘Properties’ box )
- brightness can be increased by hitting ‘Duplicate’ to place 2 or more in the same location
AND/OR adding extra lights around the top of the tower (as far apart as possible)
People - animated

man-casual-2-cbj woman-casual-cbj
man-casual-blue-cbj woman-well-dressed-cbj
man-casual-red-cbj (MSFS library) Businessman_idle
(MSFS library) Pilot_Male_Casual_IDLE
these are all animated short ones are about 1.6m (5ft6) the taller ones about 1.8m(6ft)
they are Scenery (not SimObject) so can be scaled to any size
There are also a number of Marshal (ground) objects available in the SimObject menu

Pivot irrigator

pivot-irrigator-pivot-cbj
pivot-irrigator-span-cbj x2
pivot-irrigator-overhang-cbj
-place all sections and adjust scale (same on all sections) to get correct length.
-adjust pitch for ground slope to make ends match (or put the wheels on the ground)
easiest to move to the wheels end then enter values In the ‘Pitch’ box
record value to reuse on other objects

shelter-15x10x3-cbj was not working properly for one user due to interference from some
other scenery on his system. The only way to solve the problem was to change the name
and GUID (identification no). The original suspect model is still in the library so it is
backward compatible for sceneries still using it. Please replace it with the new version in
your sceneries and issue an update for your users (who MUST down load latest library
version 14.2 or later).
