COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces the students to the different concepts and principles of research methodology,
the research problem, the major research methods, the preparation of the research instruments, and review of
relevant literatures and studies. It includes the discussion of the sampling methods and guidelines in the
selection of appropriate statistical tools to be used in specific research problems. This course includes an
overview of the use of quantitative and qualitative data and how one can strengthen the other. The course
also provides the students opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop skills in writing a research proposal.
