Important note for the applicants:

1. COVID-19 health protocols as suggested by MHA/Govt. of Odisha /Govt. of India shall

strictly be followed by the applicants and their companions, if any, while coming inside the
Vidyalaya premises i.e., going through thermal scanning at main gate, wearing of face
mask, frequent hand washing, maintaining social distance, avoiding exchange of
articles/stationary, sharing food/Tiffin etc. Though the Vidyalaya will provide sufficient
hand sanitizer through auto vending machines installed at different locations but it is
suggested to keep a portable hand sanitizer with you.
2. Only the bio-data format downloaded from Vidyalaya website or hard copy of the bio-data
form available at the time of registration shall be used by the candidates.
3. Registration will be done from 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM on the day of interview only.
4. Applicants shall confirm their suitability for the post in terms of educational/professional
qualification.
5. Mere registration does not confer the right to empanelment in the list of eligible candidates
for interview.
6. For Primary Teacher, Computer Instructor and PGT Computer post candidates will
be shortlisted by written test and interview will be done for selected candidates only.
7. Candidates having B.Ed. (Special) are not eligible to apply for the post wherever B.Ed. is
required.
8. Canvassing in any way or bringing extraneous interference will lead to forfeit the
candidature.
9. Desirable Qualification for all the posts – Competency to teach through English & Hindi
medium and basic knowledge of computer.
10. Salary will be given as per the KVS Rules. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the
interview.
11. Result will be declared on or before 31st March 2023 on school website.

• Number of vacancies may increase or decrease due to transfer out and transfer in or retirement,
long leave etc. Vidyalaya will conduct interview for all the posts to prepare a panel of part-time
contractual teachers which would be utilized in session 2023-24 to supplement the teaching
learning process in case clear vacancies or on leave vacancies.
Qualification & Subject Combination for the post of Primary Teacher (PRT)

Essential:
a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in
Elementary Education (D.Ed.) / Certified Teacher’s Training (CT) / 4 year-Bachelor of
Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) / equivalent
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
b) Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)
c) Proficiency to teach through Hindi & English media.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Qualification & Subject Combination for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher
Essential:
(1) Four years’ Integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the
concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate ;
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/ combination of subjects
and in aggregate. The electives subjects and Languages in the combination of subjects as under:
For TGT (Sanskrit): Sanskrit as a subject in all the three years.
For TGT (Hindi): Hindi as a subject in all the three years.

For TGT (English): English as a subject in all the three years.

For TGT (Social Science): Any two of the following:
History, Geography, Economics and Pol. Science of which one must be either History or
Geography.
For TGT (Mathematics): Bachelor Degree in Mathematics with any two of the
following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.
For TGT (Science): Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
(2) B.Ed. or equivalent degree from recognized university
(3) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), conducted by CBSE in accordance
with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
(4) Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English medium.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Note: 1. Relaxation in CTET: - In the absence of CTET qualified candidates, candidates without
CTET qualification may be considered if otherwise eligible as per KVS recruitment rules.
Qualification & Subject Combination for the post of Post Graduate Teacher

Essential:
(1) Two years’ Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional College of
Education of NCERT in the concerned subject;
Or
Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate
in the following subjects:
a) PGT (English) – English
b) PGT (Hindi) – Hindi or Sanskrit with Hindi as one of the subjects at Graduate
PGT level.
English/ c) PGT (Mathematics) – Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
Hindi/ d) PGT (Physics) – Physics / Electronics/Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics.
Mathemati e) PGT (Chemistry) – Chemistry/ Bio. Chem.
