Follow these steps to erase FRP partition and remove FRP lock in case you don't have access to the previous Google
account.
It will work with either locked or unlocked bootloader. Root not needed. You need to factory reset the device so any data
will be lost.
1. Install latest QPST and Qualcomm USB Driver. Easy to find with a simple google search.
2. Download the NOAUTH firehose file from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/solved-i-need-help-edl-9t-
lime.4385727/
3. Browse and select the patched firehose file.
4. Remove SIM tray and carefully pry open the back cover. Be careful with the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable. See youtube
for tutorial.
5. Unscrew and remove the top cover. Search youtube for tutorial.
6. Two test points are under the cover, at the lower left corner. Google search for "EDL test points POCO M3" to find them.
7. Connect the phone to PC while shorting the two test points with a pair of tweezers.
8. Open QFIL.
9. Select "Flat Build".
10. Open "Select Port" and select the phone, press OK. Make a note of the COM port number, you will need it later.
11. Go to "Tools" -> "Partition Manager", open it and don't close anything during the next steps.
12. Open a command line with Administrator privileges and change to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin"
directory.
13. Type the following command to create an empty frp binary file:
Code:
14. Type the following command to get a backup of the current frp just in case anything goes wrong. Use the COM number
you noted previously instead of COM1:
Code:
Code:
16. Remove cables, screw everything back and use recovery mode to factory reset the phone.
