Visitors of all ages were welcomed to the first ever Multiplied art fair in October 2010

South Kensington Christies is pleased to announce further exciting details of events surrounding Multiplied the pioneering UK art fair dedicated to contemporary editions. Multiplied will open to the public on Friday, 14 October, and will welcome visitors to browse or buy throughout the weekend until 5pm on Monday, 17 October. Following a similar format to the inaugural fair in 2010, Multiplied will bring together 40 international exhibitors, offering contemporary editions to suit any budget with prices starting from 30.

More Than Multiplied


Complementing the forty exhibitors at the fair will be an exciting programme of interactive cultural events and opportunities. The spirit of communication has been given a central place at this years Multiplied, offering visitors interactive opportunities to discuss, learn and even make their own art. Xtina Lamb from Printed Wonders will be hosting several workshops using the medium in the Christies Education Studio, including two sessions specifically for children ages 712. Christies Education is collaborating with the Arts Council and their Own Art scheme to develop tours of the fair, with the latter focussing on galleries and print specialists participating in their contemporary art loan program. The tours will take visitors through some of the highlights of exhibited art works on display, and offer visitors the chance to learn more about the exhibitors and the artists they represent.

Artist, Bob and Roberta Smith (pictured above) are among our guest speakers in the education studio. Bobs extraordinary practice emphasizes the social and political potentials of art as communication. His work embraces public projects; sign painting; sculpture, music and performance film. Cullinan and Richards will also be appearing as guest speakers, and there will be further opportunities to meet additional artists in the education studio to discuss their different interests; means of production and strategies for creating editions.
