GEO-Treat® 1981
Scale Control Program for Geothermal Systems

Scope of Application : GEO-Treat® 1981, is a new generation, multifunctional, scale

inhibitor dispersant effective against silica scaling at plants where the
risk of high silica needs to be controlled. GEO-Treat® 1981 can be
used in systems up to 250°C.

Appearance : Colorless to light yellow liquid.

pH (20°C, direct) : 7,0 – 9,0
Density (20°C/68°F) : 1,28 – 1,32 g/cm3
Water Solubility : Miscible.
Effect on environment : This product is not explosive, flammable, or toxic. See MSDS for
more information.

Dosage : Dosage changes according to pH, silica, hardness level of

geothermal water. Products dosage should be selected with GREEN
Chemicals® A.Ş. representative.

Mode of action : Advantages of GEO-Treat® 1981;

 Perfect control against silica scaling.

 High effect against fouling,
 Stable up to 250°C,
 High threshold, crystal modification and dispersion effect.

Application : GEO-Treat® 1981 can either be added undiluted or, if preferred as

a solution in water. The product should be added continuously by an
automatic dosing system regulated by the quantity of make-up water.

ISO 9001 / 14001 : Our quality system has been certified by TÜV-Thüringen based on
EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 14001.

Handling : This product should be stored in its original packaging between -5

o
C and 30 oC in a closed place. See MSDS for more information.

Shelf Life : 2 years in closed package.
