EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 8

Series of 2022

CREATING THE BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE

WHEREAS, the government is bent on addressing the preservation and

promotion of good health and safety for the people of the San Leonardo through its
health programs and services in close coordination with the barangays;

WHEREAS, one of the main concerns to be addressed is the prevalent incidence

of malnutrition besetting the country in general which have to be arrested and prevented
from occurring in the barangays in San Leonardo to achieve one of the goals in the
MDG;

WHEREAS, in order to effectively carry out all mandated activities, members

with firm commitment and steadfast dedication to serve is needed so that hand in hand all
members will be working together for the betterment of the program;

NOW THEREFORE, I, JESSIE M. ALCANTARA, Punong Barangay,

Diversion, San Leonardo, by virtue of the powers vested in me by existing laws; do hereby
ORDER the creation and constitution of a Nutrition Committee as follows:

Section 1. Composition. The Committee shall be composed of the following:

 Section II. Duties and Functions

1. Adapt management system for better delivery of Nutrition Programs

particularly in depressed areas.

2. Institute initiatives and linkages for interrelationship with the different

sectors and agencies to address malnutrition.

3. Conduct regular meetings, consultations and dialogues to assess the

progress in the implementation of the Barangay Nutrition Programs.

4. Submit report and regularly update to the San Leonardo Mayor regarding
local nutrition status and situation.

SECTION 3. Secretariat. The Barangay Secretary shall act as recorder of the meetings.

SECTION 4. Meeting. The Barangay Nutrition Committee shall meet at least monthly or as
often as necessary.

SECTION 5. Effectivity. This Order takes effect immediately.
