Attire Policy

1. Overview

The way we present ourselves to our clients and co-workers reflects upon our attitude towards being a
professional. Our employees are expected to project the image of being trustworthy, respectable and
knowledgeable professionals through their attire. The objective behind having the ‘Attire Policy’
(Policy) is to encourage the wearing of ‘Business Appropriate Attire’ and following appropriate
grooming by our members at SciTech Patent Art Services (P) Ltd. (SPA).

2. Purpose

The policy outlines the guidelines and norms with regard to appropriate dress code at SPA.

3. Scope

This policy applies to all those employed at SciTech Patent Art. All SciTech Patent Art employees,
including consultants, are required to follow this policy.

4. Policy

The following subsections outline the details of SciTech Patent Art’s attire policy. Each SciTech Patent
Art employee/consultant is bound by this policy and must abide by the rules laid out under the policy.

4.1 BUSINESS APPROPRIATE ATTIRE

4.1.1 Business Appropriate Attire is clothing that is formal, clean, and crisp. We rely on your good
judgment in choosing clothing that reflects professionalism and pride in the organization.

4.1.2 The business appropriate attire is categorized into two segments, the Formals and the Casuals

4.1.3 On Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday and on the day’s of client visits, only Formals are
allowed.

4.1.4 It is essential that employees who dress in Business Appropriate Attire understand and adhere to
SPA’s expectations for this standard of dress. Some specific examples of what is Business
Appropriate Attire are listed below and what is not Business Appropriate Attire are provided in
the next section. However, the list is intended only for guidance and is not comprehensive.

Note: The guidelines for dress code as given in the above table is suggestive, and we request you all to
follow the same.

4.2 INAPPROPRIATE ATTIRE:

Examples of inappropriate attire that is to be avoided in the office includes, but is not limited to:

4.2.1 Athletic apparel, such as sweatpants, jogging suits, wind suits, beachwear, shorts
4.2.2 Tight-fitting garments made of spandex, lycra or leather
4.2.3 Clothing that have rips, tears, tattered edges, or patches
4.2.4 Fashion statements such as excessive body tattoo or piercing
4.2.5 Shirts and T-shirts with objectionable writing or images
4.2.6 Religion representing attire without approval (approval will be on case-to-case basis)
4.2.7 Floaters, slippers, sandals (chappals) (unless during the time of heavy rains or health issue, on
approval basis)
4.2.8 For women: - Mini skirt/above-knee skirt, short & skimpy/revealing shirts/outfits, high heeled
footwear

4.3 GROOMING ETIQUETTE

Basic grooming is expected from every team member who comes within the ambit of this Policy.

4.3.1 Men must be clean shaven or may have neatly trimmed beard/moustache
4.3.2 Women must keep their hair in a neat and well-groomed manner
4.3.3 Flashy hair colours (black/brown/burgundy are acceptable) will not be allowed

4.4 DRESS DOWN DAYS

Dress-Down days may be observed on Fridays, wherein wearing ‘Casuals’ are permitted. This would
allow employees to experience the advantages of a more casual and relaxed work atmosphere on
Fridays.

5 Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of HR to conduct all the process.

6. Policy Compliance

The contents of this Policy are monitored by the Human Resources Department (HR Dept.) of
SPA. The approving authority for any approvals regarding attire and/or grooming specific
actions is the HR Dept. of SPA.

6.1 Compliance: The HR will verify compliance with this policy through, internal and external
audits, and feedback to the policy owner.

6.2 Exception: There is no exception to this policy.

6.3 Non-Compliance: Any noncompliance to this policy may lead to action from the management.
