High Pot Test

High Pot Test

Remove green terminal blocks on DPI1 board, (except
transducer wires) and primary fuses.
Adjust High Voltage Unit to 2304 Volts

Power : Apply 2304 V for 1 sec. on each power wire

between ground and wire
Control : Apply 500 V for 1 sec. between ground and control
wires (24V)
Reconnect the ground wire and replace primary fuses.

If Transformer is 100VA, verify that the fuse is a 3A glass

fuse.
Reconnect the ground wire and switch DS1 in ON position.

Setup

Setup
Apply 85% of nominal voltage (391V)

Verify continuity from the top of the disconnect switch to the

top of the contactor (L1-L2-L3)
Turn the disconnect switch ON

Verify revision number is the same as the label on the CPU

(Appears on membrane during bootup - If you didn't notice,
press on Reset button)
At this point, do not press on Reset button again. If you do
after a config change, all the config will be erased!
Pressure Calibration
With no pressure applied to the pressure transducer, use a 0.5 (Vdc)
multimeter to measure the DC voltage of the pressure
transducer (between black and white wires). If the value is
not between 0.42 and 0.58 Vdc, change the sensor and
redo this verification.
Press on OK button until you see Cu.Ou on the screen
(Config Mode)
Press on UP and DOWN button at the same time until you
see C.LO on the screen
Press OK button to calibrate the pressure,

Make sure that air pressure hose is not connected to the

pressure sensor
Enter 0 as value (by using UP/DOWN buttons)

Press OK button

Press on RIGHT button (You must see C.Hi on the screen)

Press OK button

Connect air pressure hose to the pressure sensor

Apply maximum pressure on pressure line (Over 100 PSI)

Press on OK button

Cut-In and Cut-Out

Press on RIGHT button (You must see Cu.Ou on the
screen)
Press OK button to set the Cut-Out

Verify Cut-Out is 100 PSI (If not, change the value by using
UP/DOWN button)
Press OK button

Press the RIGHT button (You must see Cu.In on the

screen)
Press OK button to set the Cut-In

Verify Cut-In is 80 PSI (If not, change the value by using

UP/DOWN button)
Press OK button

Final setup
Press the power on the membrane until the power light
becomes green
Turn OFF the power on the testbench to save calibration
and config
Disconnect the air hose from the transducer

Record pressure on gauge 117 (PSI)

Turn ON the power on the test bench

Wait 10 seconds until the power is back on the Jockey

Pump
Record pressure on display 117 (PSI)
Verify if the Jockey's display reads 0 PSI and reconnect the
air hose

Note the Motor Start Count by pressing RIGHT and UP

buttons at the same time
Drop the pressure below cut-in (Default: 80 PSI)
During the test, verify LEDs functionality depending on the
pressure (Above Cut-Out: Green, between Cut-Out and
Cut-In: Orange and below Cut-In: Red)
Verify if the contactor activates

Verify if Auto light on the membrane is activated

Verify if Relay light on the board is activated

Verify if the Motor Start Count increased (By pressing

RIGHT and UP buttons at the same time)
Verify voltage between T1-T3 on bottom of contactor

Verify continuity between L2-T2 (L2 on top of disconnect

switch and T2 on bottom of contactor)
Trip the overload

Verify if the contactor de-activates

Reset the overload

Raise the pressure above cut-out (Default: 100 PSI)

Press on the green button of the membrane (START

button), the contactor activates
Verify if Hand light on the membrane is activated

Press on the red button of the membrane (STOP button)
