3) (exemple 1) 1) The graph shows that the majority of young people

questioned use social medias to make their voices heard. However, there

are also 53 percent who consider that “talking to others” is their main
mean of action. In the case of this study, 'talking to others' refers to

having a debate or discussion on topical issues with friends or family.

The third important means is expressing oneself within a community, and

here we're talking about blogs or online discussion groups, which are

therefore different from social medias. To conclude, this graph shows us

that there are many others means of action for young peoples and not

only Social media even if it’s the mainly one.

Photo Greta Thunberg :

3) (exemple2) This iconic photo was taken, on 16 September 2018. It

was published on Twitter by the most well-known young activist:

Greta Thunberg. In this picture, on the right, we see Greta

Thunberg sitting on the street with her school stuff. Next to her, on

the left, there's a poster that says "Skolstrejk för klimatet" in

Swedish, which means "School strikes for the climate".

This document is entitled "Fridays for Future. The school strike

continues", it refers to Greta Thunberg's movement called "Fridays for

Future", in which she calls on the youth generation not to go to school

every Friday and to demonstrate for the climate instead. The first school

climate strike was launched by Greta Thunberg on 20 August 2018 in

front of the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament). The climate strikes aim at

drawing attention to the disastrous climate policies in many countries, to

push for climate protection measures and to demand compliance with the

Paris Climate Agreement.

To put it in a nutshell, this iconic image shows us that the social media

isn’t the only way to make youth’s voice heard because the strike and

demonstration are useful too. However, the social media made these call

to strike able to be heard by a lot of people. Indeed, this photo was

published on Twitter and motivated students to demonstrate against

Global Warming all over the world.
