1. The lipids are heterogeneous group of organic compounds, are

an important group of organic macromolecules that are formed
living things.
Mainly composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. There are
basically three types of lipids in food: Fats or oils lipids are of
crucial importance for energy storage and cell membrane
development.

2. Lipids are hydrophobic (insoluble in water in non-polar solvents)

and soluble in organic solvents. They are incorrectly called fats,
since fats are just one type of lipid from animals.
They are highly energetic (1g of lipids provides 9 kilocalories).
There are three main tyoes of lipids that are triacylglycerols that
are in the blood, store the calories that aren't used and gets energy
to the body.
The phosphoslipids are parts of the
surface of the cell, they help to maintain
your strength, flexibility and integrity.
The sterols reduce the absorption of this fatty compound in the
intestine and therefore help reduce choresterol in the body.
The chemical composition of lipids is carbon, hydrigen and
usually also oxygen.
The structure is made by a glycerol backbone and three fatty acid
tails.

3. Their functions of lipids are to storage enrgy, signaling, and acting

as structural components of cell membranes.
Phosphatidylethanolamine.

The glycerophospholipids, usually referred to as phospholipids

(although sphingomyelin is also classified as a phospholipid), are
ubiquitous in nature and are key components of the cellular lipid
bilayer, involved in cellular metabolism and communication.

4.
The main foods that supply lipids are cooking
oils and fats, butter, margarine, bacon, fatty
meats, sausage, avocado, nuts and seeds like
almonds, pecans, peanuts, pine nuts, pumpkin
seeds, sesame or sunflower seeds.
Vegetable oils such as sunflower and corn
5.
Some curiosities of the lipids are that each one has
different functions in the body, but all of them have
common characteristics, like be highly energetic, or be
insoluble in water or also to be soluble in organic
solvents such as the chloroform.

They are a portion of the nutrients.

The fats or the lipids are fundamental for our body.
There are two types of lipids: saturated lipids and
unsaturated lipids.

They can cause cancer and also cancer the mama,

eating a lot of saturated fat can increase your risk of
various diseases.
Lipids can cause addiction like drugs.

6.
In our conclusion about the lipids that are a group of
heterogeneous substances that perform various functions in living
beings.
We conclude that the most important lipids are fats and oils.
But there are three types of lipids, that are the fats and the oils,
and also the phospholipids and the steroids. We can find them in
many different types foods as the avocado.
