Práctica Social de Lenguaje: Read numbers in english

Common Theme: Learning numbers
Purpose:
The purpose of this session will be for children to learn the numbers from 1 to 10 in English, both their pronunciation, writing and
sound.
Expected learning
First cycle Second cycle
Learn natural numbers from 1 to 5. Learn natural numbers from 5 to 10.
Materials
Cards, annexes and audios.

Initial activity
START: Start the session with a song so that the children associate the sound with the numbers while the teacher points with his
finger at the number that is ringing on a cardboard where the number and its writing come from.
Activity differentiated by grade
Second cycle
DEVELOPMENT: After listening to the song and seeing the numbers, ask the first and second grade students to answer an activity
(Annex 1 of English) where they must connect the name with the number with a line.
Third grade children will do the same activity, but they will be asked to pronounce the name of the number in English.
Sharing at the group level, evaluation and closure of the activity
CLOSURE: Ask the children to raise their fingers equivalent to the number mentioned, that is, if Five is said, they have to raise five
fingers.
