EMAIL ABOUT YOUR HOLIDAYS

Dear Alan,

I hope you are well. I’m fine and the rest of the family is well too. As you asked me
about my summer holidays in your last email, this is what we did. We all went to
Scotland and toured around in the car. We spent a couple of days in Edinburgh (it
didn’t stop raining once). We visited the castle and went to the Military Tatoo one
evening

We then went north to Perth. Dad loved this part because we visited a whisky distillery
and saw it being made. We stayed there for 4 days. Luckily it stopped raining and so
one day we went walking in the hills around Ben Nevis (Scotland’s highest mountain).
We also went to Loch Ness, a very famous lake, hoping to see the monster. We didn’t, of
course, but we had good fun trying!

Now, we are all at the hotel. Dad is taking a shower and I am using the computer. My
brother is sleeping after a long day! Mum is packing our things as we are leaving
tomorrow.

Well, that’s what we did. Tomorrow we are planning to get up very early because the
plane leaves at 6 am so we are going to be at the airport around 5 at most. I will give
you a call as soon as I arrive, I promise!

Best wishes, All the best

Jim.
