Articulation (views or ideas to communicate;)

"Life is a piece of cake" was the underlying message of our Logos Production. But did we really
succeed in getting the message across? How could we make it more 'real' to our audience?

Our Final Production brings its conception to life. What better way to show the ease of baking a cake
than to actually bake a cake and film the process? We encountered problems along the way. Tight
deadlines, problems in finding common times to meet up and technical difficulties were obstacles to
the realization of our final production. Maybe life wasn't a piece of cake after all.

Or was it? When we were in primary school, we lamented about how fun kindergarten was. In
secondary school, we reminisced the innocence of primary school. At university, we miss the days
when there was a lower workload. Life only seems to get harder. But maybe we are looking at it the
wrong way. If we look back in hindsight, we realise how easy life was in the past. Likewise, when we
graduate and start working, university would seem like child's play.

The act of baking the cake and the resulting video is a manifestation of what we have learnt in this
semester's GESH course, condensed into 6 minutes. Between the Logos Production and the Final
Production, as we continued to attend classes, experience university life, we gained even deeper
insights. We were able to further our metaphor of the cake, notably the idea that the oven that bakes
the cake alludes to the university environment that we live and grow in over the next four years.

All of us are in the process of baking our own cake. Many of us are still exploring, experimenting,
going through trial and error, and certainly none of us are Masterchefs. The fact is, as important as it
is to get the cake right, we should also not lose sight of an equally important goal, to enjoy the act of
baking the cake, and living life to the fullest.
