This document discusses an ethical issue regarding the use of religious artifacts in art. The author believes it is an ethical issue because while artists have freedom of expression, works of art that disrespect or offend religious beliefs can harm people and their religion. The rightness or wrongness of portraying religious items depends partly on one's own religion, but ultimately individuals must decide for themselves if something is right or wrong using their own judgment, even if it contradicts their religious teachings. We should avoid using religious devotional items in art in a disrespectful way to prevent harming people and their faiths.

Yes, it is an ethical issue for me. I understand that
artists, ordinary people, and all of us are free to make or create art based on our feelings or thoughts that we wish to portray. However, we must constantly keep in mind that some viewers or individuals who will witness the work that we created will appreciate it, while others will not. Even I'm not a Roman Catholic, I find that image or work of art to be offensive to me. It not only disrespected other Roman Catholic, but it also disrespected the entire faith. For me, it's an ethical issue since I find it demeaning and disrespectful to the religion of other. If we wish to produce art, we must ensure that we do not utilize any religious devotional artifacts as our subject, especially if they are bad, in order to avoid harming them and their religion. 2.Does the question of the rightness or wrongness of this depend on which religion you belong to? Explain youranswer.
Yes and no, in my opinion. I believe that the rightness
or wrongness of something is influenced by the religion to which we belong. If your religion feels that insulting and disrespecting other religions is acceptable or even appropriate, because it contradicts their principles. Some members of that religion will undoubtedly absorb it and apply it to others because they believe it is good, but it is wrong for others. However, rightness or wrongness does not always depend on our religion. It is sometimes up to us to decide if something is right or wrong. We are all aware that everyone of us has our unique way of thinking or viewpoint on a subject. Even if our religion taught us the right and bad things to do or not do, we must ultimately determine whether or not to follow it. If we believe that our religion's teachings are incorrect, we are unlikely to follow them. Even though our religion teaches us the proper things, we are more likely to disobey or follow it due to our own free will.
