Lesson Plan for Onsite Teaching

Session 2020-21

Topic: /ch/ sound jungle story Teacher: Ms. Hira Azam Ch

Objectives: By the end of the lesson students will be able to


 identify and recognise /ch/ sound and name related vocabulary.

Almighty.

Methodology: (20 mins)


 The teacher will start with saying duas and revising the sounds of
vowels and will tell Mr.h. is very friendly. Mr. h wants to make new
friends and his new find is Mr. c, but Mr. h made a rule and told Mr. c
we will make a new sound /ch/.
 Slide1,2: The teacher will now tell the students that today they are
going to listen to a story about a chimp.
 Slide 3,4: There was a chimp named Chester. One Friday Chester
went on a trip with his friends. Chester: “Hurrah! Let’s go.”
 Slide 5: The Chipmunk said: “It is such a beautiful day today. I am so
excited!”
 Slide 6,7: Chester was so cheerful about seeing so many things to eat.
Chester: “Whoa…I have so many eatables to choose from.”
 Slide 8,9: Chester: “Oh look! There are /ch/ chillies, /ch/ cherries,

/ch/ chops, /ch/ chips, /ch/ chocolates, /ch/ chicken, /ch/ cheese,
mmm.”
 Slide 10,11: But today Chester wanted to eat something special.
Chester: “Oh! Can I have the chicken please!`”
 Slide 12,13: The Chimp was about to bit the chicken piece suddenly a
cheetah came in. Cheetah: “I see! You all are cherishing a picnic
without me?”
 Slide 14,15: All the animals became sad and felt sorry. But Chester
felt sorry….
Chester said: “Oh! Dear cheetah! I am sorry, I forgot to invite you.”
Elephant: “You can join us now!”
 Slide 16: Zebra: “Oh yes! Try these chops, they are yummy!”
Cheetah: “Surely they are!”
 Slide 17: Now, the teacher will tell the students that they all became
happy and enjoyed the picnic. ‘All the animals cherished the picnic so
much!’ teacher will tell the meaning of cherish (enjoyed)
Quiz time:
Slide 19-25: Now the teacher will ask the quiz questions.
 Name the animals starting with ‘ch’ in the story.
 What was Chester’s favourite food with /ch/ sound?
 Name some more words starting with /ch/ sound.
 Let’s tick the pictures of /ch/ sound together.

Wrap up: (8mins)


In the end, the teacher will explain the HW /ch/ sounds.
