CONSTITUTION
PREAMBLE
WE, the officers of Hua Siong College of Iloilo officers (college department)
in order to promote our moral, social and economic well-being : protect and uphold
our individual and collective rights, as well as foster and grow harmonious service do
hereby promulgate this CONSTITUTION.
Section 1: This organization shall be known as the Hua Siong College of Iloilo
Student Council (college department).
Section 2: This organization shall be domiciled at Hua Siong College of Iloilo, Main
Campus, Iznart St., Iloilo City.
Section 1: To establish an organization that will represent the entire college students of
Hua Siong College of Iloilo
Section 2: To be the voice of college students in any courses and year level of Hua
Siong College of Iloilo-college department
Section 6: To raise awareness to officers in regard to what and who they can be as a
leader, be a training ground for their leadership skills meant to hold a
greater scope in the future and become a haven where they can
continuously learn
Section 1: The place of operation can be Hua Siong College of Iloilo- main campus,
Hua Siong College of Iloilo-Ledesco campus or any authorized and
assigned places solely for important school events.
ARTICLE IV MEMBERSHIP
Section 2: An enrolled student having the desire to run for a position is required to file
his or her candidacy containing his or her platform. The submission
shall be done before elections.
Section 3: The student council of college department shall conduct an interview for
the council officer aspirants during the election day.
Section 5: There exists no first year representative during the academic year-end, it is
decided to appoint a freshman who is willing to help the student council.
Section 6: Newly elected officers are required to take their oath.

REPRESENTATIVES: one student per year level and per course
Section 2: The student council officers for the current school year are given one year
to serve and help the school and organization, if the student council officer
has only two semesters per academic year he or she is still deemed to serve
for the third semester.
Section 3: The senators composed of six people can be assigned to either the logistics,
finance or media and documentary. If by chance, the representatives and
President are disagreeing with the assigned position, the entire student
council shall decide through a poll.
Section 1: The President shall be the head of Hua Siong College of Iloilo Student
Council (college department). His or her duties and power include the
following:
a.) Preside and facilitate the meetings either through zoom, messenger or
face to face.
b.) Approve fund proposal of the finance for a certain event for school or
students
c.) Represent the entire student council when invited or asked to join a
certain fellowship or program
d.) Tackle improvements for what the organization is lacking
e.) Check if the officers are abiding to the constitution of the student council
f.) Assign tasks to fellow officers which they are also capable of doing
Section 2: The Vice President shall take over when the President is sick,in an
unfavorable situation or resigning. He or she shall perform functions that
may be assisted by the President.
a.) Take down minutes of the meetings including the names of officers who
are absent or present
b.) Keep books of resolutions
c.) Compose any types of letters required by the school to be submitted by
the entire student council
d.) Assist other officers on their tasks if he or she is not busy
Section 1: Any of the following shall be ground for the impeachment and recall of
student council officers
Adopted and ratified this October 1, 2022 with the list of members together
with their signatures, who all agree with this year’s constitution.
