CIRCULAR

GUIDELINES for Ph.D students

It is mandatory for the Research scholars to complete their Ph.D course work in the
very first year of the admission. After successful completion of the course work, the
student has to attend the research reviews which will be conducted twice in an academic
year.

The following are the guidelines for students of Ph.D program w.e.f 2019-20 Admitted Batch.
It is requested to follow the same without fail for smooth sail of the work

I. Guidelines for the Research reviews:

1. Three successful reviews of the work carried out by the candidate are mandatory.
2. The time interval between the consecutive reviews should be minimum 6months.
3. After three successful reviews, the student is permitted for pre talk of the work.
Successful pre talk will lead to permission for submission of thesis.
4. Publication requirements for submission of thesis:
i) Three SCOPUS journal publications
OR
ii) One SCOPUS journal publication and one WOS/SCI journal publication
OR
iii) Two SCOPUS journal publications and two SCOPUS conference publications
5. All the publications should have first author as scholar and second author as supervisor
6. In case co-supervisor is allotted to the student he or she may be the third author.
7. If the scholar is working in collaboration with reputed a industry, the third author can
be industry professional related to the research work provided sufficient proofs are
submitted to the Research Committee prior to the first review .

8. Minimum requirements for reviews:

Review I Literature Survey should be 20% of the work to

The candidate should approach the research coordinator through his / her supervisor
for appointment of the review date. If by chance the candidate misses the review in
the scheduled period, whatever may be the reason, he/she has to wait for next cycle of
review month.
