MAIN LOG SET UP

Open main log and go to file, select new: fill out the requested info accordingly and accurate.
The ROP/GAS Scales can be adjusted at anytime. Once completed then select create.

Header: Go to view, select header. Filling out the header is self explanatory, just fill in the
blanks with all the information you gathered.

Once all information is entered select the save button & close.

5 inch Log Header: you will need to type out a header on the description section to advise
everyone that we are on location ready for to work. Also make sure it is added to your 1 inch.

Example shown below: you can word it how you like.

You will need to also add the last casing information and the most recent bit used on the far left
notes section.

You will need to set your casing marker at the depth of each casing set.
Hold ctrl + right click right, besides the litho logic track at the set depth.

Also add a note in the gas scale section stating that 1% = 100 units.

Trip Notes:
Whenever the rig is tripping out or in of the hole you will need to add the following notes to
your log on the far left notes section. You can get the information needed from the rig EDR in
the tour sheet section or ask the driller for the information if it’s not posted there.

Then you divide the feet Serial Number
drilled by the hours. It will Jets
give you the estimated ROP. Depth In

You will also need to add a quick note in the description area stating why they are tripping out.

You will add the trip note on the edge of the left side gas scale by holding ctrl + left clicking at
the appropriate depth. Label the total gas amount on a note and add it on the 1 inch also.
