SUPERLATIVE ADJECTIVES
Superlative adjectives are the words we use to compare and emphasize the increasing importance on the
main adjective.

USAGE

We use the structure be going to + verb in base form to talk


about future plans. However, is more common to use
the present progressive (continuous) in spoken English
instead.

Be going to (predictions)
Usage
We use be going to (predictions) to say what is about to happen or what you think will
happen because they’re very near.
This isn’t a new structure, this just changes the way and context we talk of.

Example: Look at the clouds, it is going to rain soon

For be going to (predictions) we use the same structure

Be + going to + (verb)
Affirmative Negative Interrogative

I am going to play I am not going to play Am I going to play?


You are going to play You are not going to play Are you going to play?
She/He is going to play She/He is not going to play Is she/him going to play?
We/They are going to play. We/They are not going to play. Are we/they going to play?

We can also use gonna as if it was going to.


Examples
