PIN DESIGN

OVERVIEW
Participants will create a design for the lapel pin which Oklahoma TSA members will wear and trade
during the trip to the National Conference.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to middle school and high school chapters.

Entries are limited to one (1) entry per chapter. This entry does not count as one of the six events each
student is eligible to compete in.

TIME LIMITS
PRELIMINARY ROUND

All components of the chapter’s entry must be finished, submitted and accessible via the internet by the
pre-submission date.

PROCEDURE
PRE-CONFERENCE

A. Participants access the National TSA website for the conference theme, city, state.
B. Participants design a high-quality lapel pin including the following topics in some manner:

1. Oklahoma (shape, words, etc.)


2. TSA (or complete spelling)
3. Current year
4. Current national conference site (city and state)
5. National Conference Theme

C. The design does not have to be camera-ready, although it should be drawn as neatly as possible. Any
style of lettering is acceptable and originality is a key to winning.

D. It is advisable that the pin is no larger than 1.5" X 1.5". The drawings should be printed at the actual
size and larger scale to be viewed for voting.

E. The design may be drawn in any color ink. Oklahoma TSA will edit and produce the final design for
the pin.

PRELIMINARY ROUND

A. Entries are reviewed by the current State Officer Team


B. State Officers will choose twelve (12) semifinalists.

SEMIFINAL ROUND

A. A graphic of the twelve (12) semifinalists will be displayed at the State Conference.
B. Each chapter will receive two (2) votes to cast for the winning design.
C. The winning design will be announced during the conference award ceremony.
