OVERVIEW
Using leadership and 21st century skills, participants design and build a project primarily made of wood.
ELIGIBILITY
Three entries per chapter. Entries are limited to an individual (1) or a team of no more than three (3) individuals. An individual may not
be included in more than one (1) entry.
ATTIRE
TSA competition attire is required for the semifinalist interview.
PREPARATION
Students will work to develop their leadership and 21st century skills in the process of preparing for and participating in this
Oklahoma TSA competitive event. The development and application of those skills must be evident in their submission,
demonstration, and or communication pertaining to the entry.
PRELIMINARY ROUND
A. All aspects of the project must be the original work of the individual.
B. The project must be designed and built solely by the individual during the current school year.
1. The portfolio must include the following pages in the following order:
a. Cover page – must include the event title, the year, and the participant’s ID number.
b. Design drawing
c. Material list
2. Entries are reviewed by judges with neither students nor advisors present.
a. Judges score the project criteria to determine the top twenty-four (24) preliminary contestants, which
will not be posted.
b. Judges score the Documentation criteria of those top twenty-four (24) contestants to determine the top
twelve (12) semifinalist teams.
A. The Presentation/Interview
1. Participants report to the event area at the time and place stated in the conference program to sign up for a
presentation/interview time.
C. The top ten (10) finalists are announced via the OKTSA website.
