Some information for availing Tution Fee Waiver:

a. For Students belonging to GEN / GEN-EWS / OBC-NCL categories:

1. Students, whose annual family income is less than Rs. 1.00 lakh, will get complete
waiver of tution fee.
2. Students, whose annual family income is between Rs. 1.00 lakh to Rs. 5.00 lakh,
will get waiver of 2/3rd of the tuition fee.
3. To avail tution fee waiver, [either full or 2/3rd], the students have to submit
prescribed requisite documents at the time of admission for verification
[Annexures V(a), V(b) and V (c)]. (Please see ‘Details of Document Required’ for
the Annexures)
4. They also need to fill and submit an Undertaking (form is attached herewith)
signed by them and their Parent / Guardian.
5. Students, whose annual family income is higher than Rs. 5.00 lakh, will not get any
waiver of tution fee. They do not need to submit any document [Annexures V(a),
V(b) & V (c) and the Undertaking] necessary for availing tution fee waiver.

b. For students belonging to SC / ST / PWD categories:

1. Students will get complete tution fee waiver, irrespective of their annual family
income. They do not need to submit any document [Annexures V(a), V(b) & V (c)
and the Undertaking] necessary for availing tution fee waiver.
 UNDERTAKING TO DEPOSIT BALANCE FEE, IF APPLICABLE

undertake that annual income of my family from all sources for the FY 2018-19 is upto Rs. 1.00

Accordingly, the fee has been paid under the tuition fee waiver scheme.

In order to get the tuition fee waiver claim verified by the Institute, the tuition fee waiver

application form as per Annexure V(a), V(b) & V(c) has been filled and required documents have

been annexed. If, after verification, my tuition fee waiver claim is rejected, I undertake to

deposit the balance payable fee within the given time schedule. If, I fail to deposit the balance

fee within the given time schedule, the IIT (ISM), Dhanbad will be at liberty to cancel my

admission or take appropriate action as deemed fit.
