Layout Analysis on McDonald’s

Introduction:
McDonald's first made its way to Malaysia in December 1980 when McDonald's
Corporation, USA give Golden Arches Restaurants Sdn Bhd the licence to operate
McDonald's

restaurants in Malaysia. When McDonald's Corporation, USA granted Golden Arches

Restaurants Sdn Bhd the permission to run McDonald's restaurants in Malaysia in December
1980, McDonald's made its debut in that country. On April 29, 1982, the first restaurant
debuted in Kuala Lumpur's Jalan Bukit Bintang.

Under the "Developmental Licensee" (DL) franchise arrangement, Saudi Arabia's Lionhorn
Company Pte Ltd owns all of McDonald's Malaysia.

McDonald's Corporation in the USA transfers ownership of McDonald's Malaysia to

Lionhorn Re Ltd. using this mechanism. The Lionhorn Pte Ltd has been granted permission
to completely operate McDonald's in Singapore and Malaysia. There are currently more than
260 McDonald's restaurants spread throughout Malaysia.

Besides, segmented of the Informal Eating-out market in virtually every country in

which they do business.
 McDonald’s has divided its restaurant into 2 parts. One part is which is at left of the
restaurant Located in city mall.
 1st part at the left side indicates and the people who prefer to sit in a group and the
children for party etc
 However, the left side does not look like a part of the restaurant, because this part is only
occupied by chairs.
 And the left side of the restaurant has the clown character which engages the people to
click pictures.
 The 2nd part of the restaurant is the right-hand side which has a Table which is near to the
counter and this is at the Extreme left of the 2nd part and there are 5 tables which is like
sofa were 5-6 people can sit together
 And the opposite side is a circular table, there are 3 tables in circular table and 4-3 people
can occupy it at the same time
 The counter is at the extreme middle of the whole restaurant which will let the customers
to reach to the each and every person from the staff to get their order
 The Entry is occupied by the 2 Smartphone looking like machine where one can order
their stuff and pay it by swiping their Debit/Credit Card this is Specially for the people
who prefer card payments
 And Extreme Middle of the Restaurant is occupied by the Coffee Section where you can
get some Tea Coffee Like Nescafe and Pastries.
 1st Section which is at the Extreme Right-hand side of the restaurant is fully for small
crowds and easy to access the Menu and take away the food from the Counter
 2nd section is the Middle section which is occupied by McCafé which is different from
the other sections.
 3rd Section is for usually for kids and large Crowds.
