Matrix® WMS CORE+ Release Notes
1. Introduction
As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that Matrix® WMS
CORE+ remains a feature rich solution, we are pleased to share the
items delivered in Matrix® WMS CORE+ Release 7.1.0 which includes a
number of enhancements, improvements and bug fixes.
1.1. Using this Document
Each release item detailed is categorized as one of the following:
• Global enhancement that will be deployed to all clients and requires
testing by all.
• Option Pack or configurable option which will only affect those sites
and clients who opt in to making use of the feature. These items
require support from the CoE for activation of this functionality.
• Global Option which is available to all within the product and
controlled through operational process and / or master data. There
will be no requirement for activation from the CoE, however
operations may require support and advice from the CoE to make
use of the feature.

1.2. Release Timings
Key dates for Release 7.1.0 are:
• The planned contents were shared on 27th January 2023
• The release webinars were presented on 13th March 2023

2.4. Create SSCC Compliant Containers and Pallets
Description: New option to set Client level prefixes to generate
SSCC values based on the specific client data range. When the
WMS generates an internal Container or Pallet ID, CORE+ will be
able to create an SSCC to the required settings. Examples of when
this could be used would include:

3.3. Addition of Order Container Screen
Description: Visibility of the Order Container screen for Team
Leaders and above.
Application Areas Impacted: WMS
Testing Considerations: Team Leaders and above are able to access
the Container screen using menu path: Data → Order → Order

3.4. Pallet Type Screen Additions
Description: The addition of the following to the Pallet Type screen:
• Mixed Weight Field
• Maximum Fill Field
• Height Variable at Order Repacking Flag
• Height Required at Web and RDT Pallet Repacking Flag

Testing Considerations: Team Leader and above should be able to
view the above fields and flags within the Pallet Type screen.
3.5. Improved Visibility of CEVA Interface Tables
Description: The ability for Matrix WMS Super Users to filter by site
/ client when viewing the CEVA Interface Tables.

Testing Considerations: Filtering of the Interface Records is
available when viewing the database tables.

3.6. Prioritization of Orders due for External Picking
Tools
Description: The ability to assign the priority of orders / pick tasks
that are due to be completed within external picking tools. This is
report. Report is able to be actioned for Released or Held orders.

3.7. Asset Recording
Description: The ability to record the count of pallet types received
in or shipped out, against a Supplier / Delivery address. Count
updated at Receipt and Vehicle Loading, and the asset count visible
in the Asset Tracking screen.
Once enabled, this feature also provides the ability to track unique
against the Pallet Type (held on General 2 tab). Once this flag is set,
the Asset ID is required to be captured during Receipt and Vehicle
Loading.
Use the Asset Details screen to view all information relating to each
asset. Team Leaders and above can switch to Maintenance Mode to
manually create assets if required.
Returning empty assets is possible using the Asset Return feature.
Note that Asset Recording is not compatible with Delivery
Receiving.

3.8. Beam Weight Distribution 3.9. Separate Containers & Marshall Individually after

Process involves a pallet type being assigned a 'Beam

Units' value. Beam Maintenance holds 'Beam ID' along with
beam weight capacity. A Location ties all values together.
Location is assigned a 'Beam ID' and the number of 'Beam
Units' that would fit on it.
During Receipt the WMS reviews pallet type Beam Units and
runs Beam Putaway Algorithm. The WMS identifies available
putaway locations based on beam position capacity and weight
tolerance for the entire beam.
Beam Maintenance provides a visible map of Free Space for
any beam.

4. Portal Changes
4.1. Web Portal Upgrade
Description: An upgrade to the Matrix WMS Web Portal in order to
protect our product from potential security vulnerabilities. Users
(both internal and external) will be required to access the Web
Portal using a new URL. All web portal regression testing should be
completed using: https://wmsportal-uat.cevalogistics.com/wms-
portal/
Access to UAT using the old URL will be disabled on 17th March and
migration to Production will be phased between now and 22nd April.

Testing Considerations: The web portal is able to be accessed
using the new URL.

4.2. Web Portal Serial Number Fix
Description: A fix to resolve an issue where shipped serial numbers
were still available to order.
Application Areas Impacted: Web Portal
Testing Considerations: Shipped serials should no longer be able
to be ordered.
5. Documents & Labels
5.1. Update to Language Translations
Description: A background
within the Translation Table
across all available language translations.

Testing Considerations: Generate a translated document and ensure
that all field headers (now including Host Order (& Line) ID) are
presented correctly.
5.2. Flexible Documents per Owner ID
Description: The ability to generate Flexible Documents per Owner
ID. Owner acts as a new usable parameter for identifying when a
specific flexible document layout is required. This means that a
variance in design is possible within a combination of Site/Client
and Owner. Available for the following Flexible Documents:
• Delivery Note
• Packing List
Where the requested flexible document for the Site/Client and
Owner combination does not exist, the default documents are
produced instead.

5.3. Addition of Serial Number to the Flexible
Delivery Note
Description: Addition of Serial Number to the Flexible Documents
data stream enabling up to 100 serial numbers per Order Line to be
shown on the Flexible Delivery Note (does not impact the standard
Delivery Note).

5.4. Improved Visibility on Volumetric Picking Label
Description: Improvements to the Volumetric Picking Box Label to
provide clearer visibility of the Pallet ID and Container ID.

6. Report Changes
6.1. Detailed Receipt to Putaway Performance
Description: A correction to ensure that the iReport and CSV
versions of the report are aligned with regards to the returned
values for the target and actual date stamps.

Testing Considerations: The values retuned on both versions of the
report are aligned.
