1. All concerned are informed of our scheduled LAC sessions on Gender and
Development dubbed as " Thank GAD I am Protected (TGIP)", slated on
July 18 and August 11, 2023, at the school covered court (Wes
multipurpose hall).

2. The objectives of the LAC sessions are as follows:


a. To integrate the gender equality, human rights, sexuality, and
reproductive health education, peace education, environmental
studies, and child protection in the curriculum learning delivery.
b. To ensure minimum standards on gender sensitivity that will be
integrated in the subjects or learning areas, trainings, curricular,
co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs for learners and
trainees.
c. To orient and train the school personnel on gender equality,
sexuality, and reproductive health education, human rights, peace
education, and child protection.

3. Expenses relative to the conduct of the activity shall be charged against


school MOOE fund and other local funds, subject to the usual accounting
and auditing rules and regulations.

III. Target/s:

a) Agenda 2: Provide quality and learner-environments in all schools


learning centers for learners to stay in Valenzuela school’s
catchment areas.
Agenda 9: Implements program, projects, and activities to ensure
that our learners are happy, resilient and that their well-
being needs are appropriately addressed in whatever
circumstances.
Agenda 10: Pursue excellence in human resource management and
continuously comply with the quality standards and
regulations.
Agenda 15: Strengthen consultative, collaborative, transparent,
ethical, and accountable governance in the Division,
schools, and learning centers.

IV. Rationale:

DepEd Order No. 40 s. of 2012 (DepEd Child Protection Policy) part 3,


section 11 “All public and private elementary and secondary schools shall
build the capacities of school personnels, pupils, students and learners,
parents, and guardians to understand and deal with child abuse, exploitation,
violence, and discrimination cases, bullying and peer violence by conducting
sessions training, seminars on positive and enhancement of social and
emotional competence.

In connection with, Luis Francisco Elementary School will conduct a
two-day seminar workshop to enhance school capacity in handling child
abuse cases that might occur by creating a Handbook indicating the
procedural processes to carefully address such cases in accordance with the
DepEd Child Protection Policy and with the Law.

V. Objectives:
a. Terminal Objectives
To design the School Handbook on standard procedures in
ensuring gender-responsive models of instruction and physical
and social learning environment that promotes respect for all
people and has zero-tolerance for all forms of discrimination,
violence, and abuse at the end of the activity.

b. Enabling Objectives

1. To integrate the gender equality, human rights, sexuality, and


reproductive health education, peace education, environmental
studies, and child protection in the curriculum learning delivery.

2. To ensure minimum standards on gender sensitivity that will be


integrated in the subjects or learning areas, trainings,
curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programs for
learners and trainees.

3. To orient and train the school personnel on gender equality,
