Abstract

High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) waste had become a significant

environmental concern due to its widespread use and slow degradation. And the

accumulation of ceramic waste have prompted researchers to investigate potential

solutions for their sustainable utilization. This highlights the challenges associated with

HDPE and ceramic waste management and explores the potential opportunities for its

sustainable utilization. The abundance of HDPE and ceramic waste poses challenges in

terms of landfill space requirements, visual pollution, and potential harm to ecosystems.

This study aimed to explore a sustainable approach to convert HDPE and ceramic waste

into writing boards, reducing plastic pollution and promoting resource recycling. By

employing innovative techniques, this research investigates the feasibility, economic

viability, and environmental impact of producing writing boards from recycled HDPE and

ceramic materials. The study also examined the product’s writability, erasability,

smoothness, and compressive strength(durability). The researchers used T-test as a

statistical tool for the study, the p-value of ratio 1 and ratio 2 in the compressive stregth

was 0.042158511, then there was a significance difference between the writing board in

Ratio 1 and Ratio 2. And the p-value of the writability between ratio 1 and ratio 2 was

0.001418393 so there was a significance difference between the writing board in Ratio 1

and Ratio 2. And the p-value of the erasability is 0.175345783 and the p-value of the

smoothness is 0.775174619. Both of them had no significance difference between the

writing board in Ratio 1 and Ratio 2.
