B FOUR QUESTIONS ALL JOB INTERVIEWERS LOVE TO ASK!
C All that’s standing between you and your dream job is one good interview! So, how do you show you have what
it takes to fill the position you want? Here are our top four interview questions to think about before the big day.
D WHAT ARE YOUR STRENGTHS?
This is a great chance to talk about your skills and qualities. Using words like “capable,” “dependable,” and
E 5 “hardworking” will have more impact if you back them up with real-life examples. Take three things you do well,
and mention specific times you used these skills. If you have strong leadership skills, talk about how you won
F praise for your management of a team project.

G WHAT ARE YOUR WEAKNESSES?

Here, the interviewer wants to find out if you are self-aware, honest, and keen to improve yourself. Be honest, but
10 keep things positive. Don’t list your greatest weaknesses in life, neither should you pretend a strength is a
weakness, saying “I just work too hard.” This does not really answer the question. Instead, pick a weak skill you
have already addressed. For example, maybe you find prioritizing tasks difficult. Explain how you have worked
to improve your planning skills. Give examples of tools that have helped you. Showing the interviewer the tools,
such as a scheduling app on your phone, will make a great impression!
15 WHAT ARE YOUR CAREER GOALS?
The interviewer will want to find out how long you plan on staying at
the company. Start with your short-term goals and keep them specific to
the company. List the steps you will take to achieve these goals. This
shows that you have thought seriously about your future. Your
20 short-term goals should lead naturally to your long-term goals. Focus on
professional growth, rather than money. Talk about how you will add
value to the company, rather than your target salary.

DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS?

Now’s your chance to make a strong final impression. This is the most common closing question in a job
25 interview, so prepare for it! This is a good time to follow up on something from earlier in the interview, or ask
questions about the role or the company. Keep questions short and don’t ask anything you could find out easily
online.
Remember, the interviewer will be looking for thoughtful, engaging answers. Your job is to think of these in
advance! When it comes to showing that you’re the right person for the role, a little preparation goes a long way.
