WAYY AD 2.22 FLIGHT PROCEDURE


1. General
a. Responsibility
1) Aerodrome Control (TWR) is responsible for the provision of Air
Traffic Control Service to all controlled flight within vicinity of
aerodrome.
2) Approach Control Office (APP) is responsible for provision of Air
Traffic Control Service to all controlled flight within Timika TMA.

b. Aerodrome Traffic Circuit Procedures


1) Runway 12: normal circuit (left hand circuit) or right hand circuit as
instructed by ATC.
2) Runway 30: normal circuit (left hand circuit) or right hand circuit as
instructed by ATC.

c. Altimeter Setting Procedures


1) ICAO altimeter setting procedures shall be used by all aircraft
operating within Timika CTR and TMA. QNH provided in millibars,
in inches available on request.
2) Transition Altitudes 18 000 ft, Transition Level FL180.

d. Communication Procedures
All aircraft within Timika CTR, and TMA shall be equipped with radio
capable for conducting and maintaining two way communications.

e. Position Reporting Procedures


All aircraft operating within or about to enter Timika CTR and or Timika
TMA shall report position:
1) Over Timika CTR or Timika TMA Boundary, or
2) Over any point or at any distance as instructed by ATC.

2. Communication failure procedures


Aircraft radio communication failure procedures shall be in accordance with
ICAO standard and recommended practices, or :
a. In Visual Meteorological Condition (VMC)
1) Continue to fly in VMC;
2) Fly full circuit over the Aerodrome, pilot shall endeavor to transmit
blindly his position, intention, etc, so as to be monitored by Approach,
Tower or any other traffic over TMA and CTR.

b. In Instrument Meteorological Condition (IMC)
1) Proceed according to current Flight Plan to the appropriate designated
navigation and serving Approach and when required to ensure
compliance with (2) below, hold over this aid until commencement of
descent.
2) Commence descent from the navigation aid specified in (1) or as close
as possible to ETA as indicated in the filled flight plan and revised in
accordance with the current flight plan.
3) Land if possible within thirty minutes after the estimated time of arrival
(ETA).

c. Procedures For IFR Flight Within CTR and TMA


All IFR flights are are provided with air traffic control service. All IFR flights
are separated from other IFR flights and from VFR flights.

d. Procedures For VFR Flight Within CTR and TMA


All VFR flights are are provided with air traffic control service. All VFR flights
are separated from IFR flights and receive traffic information in respect of
other VFR flights.

parking area position North East of main apron dimension 80 x 58 m. Available
for aircraft Type DHC6 or lighter. parking area marking available.
