1) Yes, I agree that lazy friends sometimes become a burden.

Like in the story, Jerome wanted Harris

and George to job under his orders and Jerome could boss around but they started relaxing on the
chair. Due to this Jerome had to pack the bags alone and also unpack and pack it multiple time in
order to put the items or search for items in the bag.

2)Santosh Yadav was born in a society where the birth of a son was regarded as a blessing and the
birth of a girl though not a curse but generally not welcome. People used to ask the seers to bless for
a boy child.

3) Jerome believed that he knew the most about packing other than any person living. This is why
he wanted to boss around the job and teach Harris and George, but they interpreted his suggestion
in a different way and started relaxing. However, he did not say anything, but started packing. He
finished packing the bag at last, but Harris reminded him of the boots after it. He then unpacked and
packed the bag again. He packed his toothbrush and spectacles in and had to unpack and pack it
again in order to find the toothbrush and take out the spectacles.

4) Santosh Yadav's family could easily pay for her education at the capital but due to the prevailing
custom in the family she had to study at the local village school. At 16, she threatened her parents
that she would not marry if she did not get a proper education and so left home and started taking
her education in Delhi. Her parents refused to pay for her education but she threatened them by
saying that she will work part time for earning money. Later, her parents agreed to pay for her
education. She had to write a letter of apology to her father because she had got herself enrolled for
a mountaineering course in Uttarkashi without seeking his permission. Moreover, she couldn't visit
her parents as her mountaineering course started immediately after her semester exams.

5) Maria Sharapova had not yet celebrated her tenth birthday when she went to the United States.
That trip to Florida with her father Yuri launched her on the path to success and stardom. But it also
required a tough two-year separation from her mother Yelena. She had already learnt an important
lesson in life — that tennis excellence would only come at a price. She used to go to bed at 8 p.m.
The other tennis pupils would come in at 11 p.m. and wake me up and order me to tidy up the room
and clean it. Instead of letting this depress her, she became more quietly determined and mentally
tough. She learnt how to take care of herself. She never thought of quitting because she knew what
she wanted. That toughness runs through Maria even today. She faced much more challenges,
humiliations and insults and emerged out victorious which led to her meteoric rise to the world
number one spot the following year on Monday, 22 August 2005.
