As you may be aware, the production for HiAN ACB has been discontinued since 2013.
In this regard, HiAN ACB needs to be replaced with UAN or HGN retrofit typed ACB in case
partial repair is not available any longer.
The retrofit ACB is including the relevant cradle which means any modification for BUSBAR is
not required.
When placing order the mentioned retrofit ACB, following information is required.

A. Photo for ACB name plate to confirm serial no.

B. OCR setting parameter or OCR front photo

▶ Installation
SUMMRY
- High function and breaking performance of UAN ACB is applied with existing installd ACB Cradle
by adapting distance of between phase, pole, ground and size of terminals.

- Quality and function is stable by application with high function and breaking performance of UAN ACB.

- When replacement is required, it is possible that compatibility with appliance of standard ACB body.

Notice before installation

1. Appearance comparison of HiAN ACB and UAN RETROFIT ACB

Note.
1) Mounting hole of bottom
In case of HiAN 40, before installation of retrofit cradle,
you have to drill the new mounting hole structurally.
Before fastening the terminals, mark the applicable positions and then do post-process.

2. Notice of wiring work
1) Before the replacement, please check the length of wire
and prepare for beforehand work of wiring and then do the wiring work.
In case of HiAN type, there are two wiring types.

3. Door treatment for the front view projection

1) Once installed with retrofit ACB type, it was positioned with inside of the origin panel.
It has some problem regarding IP specification, should be assemble the special
Dust cover for retrofit ACB.
2) If you want to assemble projection type, contact to our service center.

Installation Procedure

1. Remove existing ACB

1) The existing ACB should be drawn out at first.

2) The cradle installation bolts should be released on the switchboard panel.
3) Remove installation bolts of Cradle main busway terminal and busbar.
4) Remove control jock unit positioned top of cradle and auxiliary S/W unit.

2. RETROFIT ACB installation

1) UAN Retrofit Cradle Should be matched with origin ACB Cradle

that both origin terminal mounting hole and bottom mounting hole.
In case of HiAN 4000A, bottom mounting hole does not matched with retrofit cradle.
After matching origin terminal mounting hole, mark the position
of bottom mounting hole and then drill the hole.
2) If the both hole was matched properly, tighten those installation bolts

3. Control circuit connection

1) Should be connected properly the circuit number HiAN ACB to UAN ACB like below table
2) Depanding on Switchgear wiring method, the control cable length should be check
in advance.

4. TEST

1) Based on their origin circuit diagram, it should be verified with OCR function at first
and then be connected to power system
