1) The larger of two supplementary angles exceeds the smaller by 18 degrees. Find
them.

2) Half the perimeter of a rectangle garden, whose length is 4m more than its width, is
36m. Find the dimensions of the garden.

3) Five years ago, Nuri was thrice as old as Sonu. Ten years later, Nuri will be twice as
old as Sonu. How old are Nuri and Sonu?

4) The sum of two digit number is 9. Also nine times this number is twice the number
obtained by reversing the order of the digits. Find the number.

5) Find two consecutive positive integers, sum of whose squares is 365.

6) The difference of squares of tow numbers is 180. The square of the smaller number is
8 times the larger number. Find the two numbers.

7) Find the value of k in 2x2+k+3=0 for which the quadratic equation have two equal
roots.

8) Prove the identity Cos A ∕ (1 + sin A) + (1 + sin A) ∕ Cos A = 2 sec A

9) Prove the identity Sin Y - 2 Sin³Y ∕ 2 Cos³Y-Cos Y = Tan Y

10) Prove the identity (1+tan2 A) ∕ (1+ cot2 A) =(1-tan A ∕ 1-cot A)² = tan² A
