Final Year B.E (PH) Guideline for Project [B.E (Mini-Thesis)] 1. Thesis on any Infrastructure of Port and Harbour is acceptable. 2. To have to write a paper about the work which the student has done during the project period. The paper should include; 1. Minimum 50 pages of A-4 size with computer printing. 2. Following requirement such as (a) Introduction (b) Literature (c) Methodology for study area (d) Design / Analysis / Calculation and Results (e) Conclusions and Recommendations (f) References 3. The topic can be chosen by the group which is given by the staff of the University. 4. The number of students may be 5 depending on the amount of work needed to carry out the paper. 5. Every group must submit their paper with following requirements; (a) Title (b) Objective and Scope of the project (c) Second seminar of Project Title including Objective and Scope will be held on third week January 2016. 6. Each group will get a supervisor who will be a teaching staff from MMU. 7. The paper must be in a book from. The format of the paper will be laid down by the Senate of the University. 8. Every paper will be examined by a board of examiners will consist of at least 3 members including one external examiner. 9. The marks score of the paper will be 200 and the pass mark is 130. 10. A student who failed in his paper will also fail his examination although he passed the written examination. 11. Defense will be held on Third week of October, 2016. 12. The student has to see his supervisor according to the schedule laid down by him. The student who failed to see his supervisor accordingly will be declared as disqualified candidate.
