Dear Mr. Waheed,

My name is Muddasir Ahmad and I am one of your college student for the course of Associate
engineering Diploma in Chemical technology. I am currently studying Diploma of associate
Engineering in my third year. The purpose of writing this letter is to request you for a week
off during this course.
My sister is getting married on 25th September this year and my family is expecting me to
attend and take care of this function in my home town Sargodha, Pakistan. As this event is so
important for me, I can't miss this occasion. I have already discussed with my class in charge
Mr. Tehzeeb for the backup for all the lectures that I am going to miss during this week off.
I expect you to approve my leave request from 23rd September to 29th September. I will be
in regular touch with my classmate Ali to get all regular updates about my course and I will
try to cover the course before class exams.

In this modern world, some individuals believe that social media and computer games is
bringing violence in our community. On the other hand, someone else claims that these
trends are not related to how people act. I believe that in most cases these video games or
movies have an abnormal impact to our society.
First and foremost, it is commonly known that spending hours either watching violent movies
or playing on the Xbox have contributed to changes in some people's personality and mental
behaviour. Moreover, people especially kids try to copy what they have seen on television.
To illustrate that there is some evidence showing that the film "Karish", released in India, has
brought more cruelty in our community including nearby countries also. Groups of adults and
kids were seen to acting like super hero, wearing masks and some kids tried to jump from
their home roofs as copying of their hero.
Despite this, there are individuals that believe youth activities is not related to TV and video
games use. In fact, behind the rudeness and the anger of these kids, there are more relevant
hidden problems such as bullies and family troubles. For instance, a kid that has been bullied
will try to take revenge from his fellows. Another point to consider is the fact that younger
seek help but they do not have enough support from the government.
In conclusion, while someone thinks that TV and PC games have not affected our quality of
life in our society, my opinion is that these technological devices have worsened our life
because they changed us. Being aggressive with others does not make us a better person.
