ACTIVITY TITLE: CWTS103 Week-3 Essay
REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS
Choose one (1) SDG discussed in Week-3. Identify a particular problem on the SDG chosen. Share
your thoughts on how you are going to contribute to the solution of the problem you identified.
Student’s Answer:

Peer tutoring programs are a great student-led initiative that schools may put into place to fulfill SDG 4
in the context of education. Schools can foster an engaged and welcoming learning atmosphere by setting up a
well-organized structure where older students mentor and support their younger counterparts in their academic
aspirations. Through this program, kids are given the opportunity to develop their leadership, empathy, and
respect for one another in addition to their academic performance. Peer tutoring initiatives give students the
power to actively participate in their own education while also advancing equitable and high-quality
instruction, in line with SDG 4 goals

Planning educational initiatives within the community and school environment is another student-led
activity that helps achieve SDG 4. Students can participate in advocacy efforts to promote fair access to higher
education and spread awareness of the value of high-quality education. They can plan training sessions,
arrange roundtable discussions, and provide educational resources that emphasize the value of education for
growth in one's self, society, and economy. Students can motivate people to prioritize and support high-quality
education by actively promoting knowledge and understanding within their society. Additionally, students can
start environmental and sustainable education initiatives that greatly advance SDG 4. They can execute eco-
friendly projects at schools like starting a school garden, putting recycling programs in place, or pushing for
energy efficiency policies. These programs give students the chance to learn via doing and assist them in
understanding the linkages between education, the natural world, and sustainable development. Students who
learn about sustainability acquire a sense of responsibility and become advocates for environmentally friendly
activities, fostering a holistic approach to high-quality education and the larger SDGs.

To sum up, students have the ability to significantly impact SDG 4, which is focused on Quality
Education. Students may make a big difference by starting peer support programs, instructional efforts, and
encouraging healthy habits in their schools. These student-led projects not only boost academic performance
but also promote independence, civic engagement, and neighborhood involvement. By promoting inclusive
and good educational opportunities for all, taking responsibility for their own education, and actively working
to achieve SDG 4, students act as change agents.
