UNIT 6: GENDER QUALITY


LESSON 2: Vocabulary
I.OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
- Use lexical items related to the topic Gender Equality;
- Pronounce three-syllable adjectives and verbs with correct stress;
- Use the passive voice with modals.
2. Competences
- General competences
+ Develop independent thinking skills.
+ Develop collaborative skills (through individual,pair and groupwork)
+ Develop synthesizing skills and problem-solving skills through doing
the tasks in the lesson.

+ Read and match words with appropriate meanings of words related to
gender equality.

I .Warm-up (5’)
1. Objectives.
+ Review the content learned in the lesson
2. Contents: Describe vocabulary.(lesson content)
3. Products: Complete the game given by the teacher.

Activity 1: Warm-up (5') - Stir up the classroom

- Teacher divides the class into 3 teams,


each team has its own nickname
and the team will elect a member to sit on
the hot seat and face the back of the class,
while the teacher will write a word on the
board and the task the team members
sitting below must try to describe. so that
his teammates above know what the word
is, without saying, spelling or symbolizing.
-The team that guesses the fastest and
most is the winner (Winning team will
receive a gift).
- Word list: circle, invest, collect,
service, approach, invite, mountain,
profile.
II. PRESENTATIONS: (10’)
1.Objectives:
+ Students read the sentences and phrases in the lesson and look up the
meaning of the sentences.
2. Content: The teacher provides new words in the lesson and asks
students to complete the content of the exercise.
3. Product: Students can read the words in the lesson.

- We can also use the passive voice with
modal verbs (with examples in the
conversation in Getting Started.)

in the Remember! box, e.g. to express
ability, advice, duty, permission,
possibility, prohibition or request.
- T reminds Ss that modal verbs are
special auxiliary verbs that behave
differently from other verbs and are
usually used with other verbs.

invites individual Ss to read the sentences
aloud.

1. Objectives:
- Determine the definition and pronunciation of the words in the task.
