6. SHOULDER
a. Flexion-raise arm forward and
overhead
b. Extension- return arm to the side

c. Vertical Abduction- swing arm out

d. Vertical Adduction-move arm
downward to the body
e. Internal Rotation- swing the arm
up and across the body
f. External Rotation- rotate the arm
and back, keeping the elbow at the
right angle

7. ELBOW
A. These movements can be performed in
conjunction with the shoulder.
B. Flexion- cupping the elbow in the
hand, bend the arm.
C. Extension- straighten the arm

A. Flexion-grasping the palm with one

other hand, bend the wrist forward.
