YEAR/COURSE: I – BSE SOCIAL STUDIES

NSTP ACTIVITY NO. 4

When I was a child, I always assured myself that I needed to make some New Year's resolutions
because it was traditional and trendy. But each and every year I fail to be consistent. Although I really
want to make some changes for my betterment, I am not prepared to make the required adjustments.
Gladly, over the past few years, I've realized that I'm getting older and wiser, so I need to make things
right.

Probably one of the recent personal experiences I've had lately is continuing fulfilling my
resolution this year. Reasons why I am inspired to set goals again is the quote, "Success is not always
guaranteed by potential." In other words, what I've discovered about myself or even about anyone else's
we have the greatest potential for success. But it isn't much use if we haven't planned. In reality, those
who succeed in life have the "will to prepare."

As the new year begins, I also start having a daily evening evaluation where I set a schedule for
the next day and identify some areas in which I may improve. Keeping my priorities in mind will be
crucial as well. My first objective is to live a healthy lifestyle in order to achieve a normal BMI by
eating properly at the right time. Second, a daily 5-hour review on days when other events won't
interrupt is a ritual for me. Lastly, I am working on becoming a better person in general, starting with
my own family.

I am confident that if I continue to live this way with the help of our Heavenly Father, my life
will continually improve and start to determine its true purpose, like by simply helping without
expecting anything in return and throwing trashes in it's right places. I know that I am not the only one
that is affected by my own decisions; my future spouse, my future children, and even the children of
my children and their spouses will be impacted by my aspirations, which I might need to be careful
about and by that my actions are aligned with my personal moral principles in life.

Concepts I have learned or gained in the discussion of Self-Awareness and Values Development
are by being aware of ourselves we would be able to identify one’s personal strengths and weaknesses
as ways of knowing and improving one’s self, and that self-management will helps you become a
successful learner in order for us to constantly achieve our vision/goals in life.
