1.1 Scope
This document provides information on HID® FARGO® INK1000 Printer Driver version 2.0.0.7. This version can be utilized
on the following operating systems:
l Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit)
l Windows 10 (32- and 64-bit)
l Windows 11 (64-bit)
l Windows Server 2012 R2 (64-bit)
l Windows Server 2016 (64-bit)
l Windows Server 2019 (64-bit)
l Windows Server 2022 (64-bit)

Note:
l The reference numbers associated with these features, issues, and fixes are from internal HID Global tracking

systems.
l This version of the INK1000 printer driver requires version 2.0.1 or greater of the INK1000 printer firmware. The
latest version of this printer firmware can be downloaded from HID Drivers & Downloads.

1.2 Resolved issues

l Resolved an issue with the Japanese driver language (TTP-13314)
l Resolved an issue to allow Japanese captions to fit in the allotted space -GUI size (TTP-13314)

1.3 Known issues

l When batch printing, the HID Printer Status Monitor may not always display the active jobs accurately. (EINSTEIN-91)
l The event log in the HID Printer Status Monitor may not always display the job ID accurately. (EINSTEIN-196)
l In the Printing Preferences, you may be prompted to save your changes when closing the window, even after
modifications have been made and saved. (EINSTEIN-214)
l When the INK1000 printer experiences an unable to feed condition, the HID Printer Status Monitor displays a warning
icon instead of an error icon. (EINSTEIN-218)
l Audible alerts from the HID Printer Status Monitor occur only if the Alert Options for Desktop Message and Icon
Alert are both on. (EINSTEIN-264)
l In the Printing Preferences, you may be prompted to save your changes when closing the window, even when
modifications have not been made. (EINSTEIN-284)
l The Printing Preferences may display (Not Responding) in the title bar during the recalculation routine within the Ink
Estimator. (EINSTEIN-286)
l When uninstalling the printer driver on Windows Server 2012, you may encounter a "driver in use" message.

l Some users have reported that Windows Explorer is asking if they want to close the application because it is
unresponsive after accessing the Advanced tab in Printing Preferences. (EINSTEIN-321)
l When the Premium mode is being used to print, darker gradients can sometimes show faint lines on the printed
cards. (EINSTEIN-329)
l The Japanese version of the Advanced tab of the Printer Preferences displays some of the information incorrectly.
