The THS3000 extends the functional market addressed by the TPS2000

and leverages the Tektronix brand in the handheld oscilloscope market.

 Both instruments are available for sale in Tek’s portfolio

 TPS2000 Series has special support for power analysis applications in a dedicated
optional SW bundle
 THS3000 has enhanced measurement functionality, such as TrendPlotTM
 Customers should choose the model that best suits their needs
 Prime THS3000 target customers are
– Existing THS700 customers (replacement of large and aging installed base)
– Performance-minded scope customers in Service/Installation/Maintenance industries
– Traditional oscilloscope customers with need for ‘lab mobility’ currently not served with
adequate instruments
– Users of existing competitive handheld scopes (e.g. Agilent, Metrix, Asia Inc.) looking for
improved measurement performance, user-friendliness and a trusted brand
– Traditional TPS2000 customers (electronic design and test) with need for floating differential
measurement capability in a more handheld form factor (typically for power-related applications,
e.g. motor drives, power converters/inverters, power semiconductors)
