marketer satisfies the consumer needs and wants by

Producing Simple Products

Define product and enumerate the hints to decide what type of business
to choose.

Step 1: Read and understand.

Product is one of the important elements of marketing. A marketer can


satisfy consumer needs and wants through a product. Product may consist
of both goods and services.
Hints to help one decide what type of business to get into:
1. Start with a hobby or interest.
2. Produce something that you can offer or sell to your friends and
schoolmates.
3. Products that are always in demand are food items.
4. Start small before you think of producing larger quantities.
5. Do some research and investigation.
6. Observe people and their food preferences.
7. Check existing products in the local market.

Step 2. Read and understand the following statements about products


and hints to help decide a type of business to choose. On the
space provided, write TRUE if the information is correct and
FALSE if it is wrong.

Note: Please ask the assistance of your parent/guardian when


cooking and preparing polvoron to avoid any harm. IMPORTANT: IF IT IS
DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO GET THE NEEDED INGREDIENTS IN MAKING POLVORON,
IT IS BETTER TO TRY OTHER PRODUCTS THAT USES INGREDIENTS THAT ARE
READILY AVAILABLE AT HOME (EXAMPLE: USE BANANA or CORN or any ingredient
that is available).

Step 1. Here are simple products that you can produce.

How to prepare POLVORON


INGREDIENTS:
1-kilo all-purpose flour
¾ kilo butter
½ kilo powdered milk
10 cs. glazed paper

PROCEDURES
1. Toast the flour until light brown; remove from heat. Let cool.
2. Melt the butter. Set aside.
3. Combine powdered milk, sugar, and toasted flour.
4. Add the melted butter and mix until well combined.
5. Make sure you break the lumps while stirring the mixture.
6. Divide polvoron mixture if you want to add other flavours or nuts.
7. Press the mold in the polvoron mixture until you have filled up the
cavity.
8. On a plate, press the mold to make the mixture more compact.
9. Push the ejector handle to release the molded polvoron.
10. Wrap the molded polvoron.

Step 2: Arrange the following steps in cooking and preparing


polvoron by numbering the steps from 1-10. Write your answer on the space
provided.
