Emission Regulation and Technology for E5

▣ Emission Regulation ▣ Technology For E5

SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction)

- Urea is injected into the exhaust gas in

order to induce the catalytic reaction.

- Mainly used in heavy duty trucks

Cooled
EGR

DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter)

DPF
- To collect PM (Particulate Matter)

- Periodically burn PM accumulated in

the filter.

EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation)

- NOx Reduction Technology

- To prevent chemical reactions, the

cylinder temperature is lowered by
recirculating a portion of the exhaust
gas to the intake system

Injector and high pressure connector assembly procedure

▣ Procedure
① Coat the fresh engine oil on the O-ring of the injector
② Set the position between the hole of fixing bracket and the tap hole of the bolt for injector fixing bracket & insert the injector vertically
to the hole. Tighten about 2 ~ 3 turns with hands (Injector Fixing Bolt & Head)
③ Temporarily mount the fixing bolt assemble with pre-tightening torque while aligning an injector and a fuel high pressure connector
④ Coat the fresh and clean engine oil on O-ring, Hold down shoulder and Thread of fixing nut.
Grasp high pressure connector with balls vertical and insert it into the hole on while aligning the balls of connector and slot of the head.
Push the connector into the hole until feeling it contacted.
⑤ The injector and high pressure connector should be assembled correctly by the following order.
Finally tighten the fixing bolt of injector up to the specified torque while the high pressure connector is still pre-tightened.
⑥ Finally assemble the high pressure connector. Tighten the fixing nut of high pressure connector according to the specified torque by the
torque wrench.
