FADE IN:

EXT. ROAD - EVENING

KID (14) is running away from the house, through bushes, he
is confused and in shock.
MOM (39) is walking towards the house, with a bag of
groceries. Two toys are standing looking at him running
through the bushes.

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

KID is eating a bowl of cereal while the TV shows a news
broadcast of the COVID - 19 Pandemic.
He keeps the bowl down and walks past the TV.

INT. ROOM - DAY

KID opens the door and sits down on his chair and opens his
laptop.
MOM (O.S.)
I'm gonna go to the store for a
bit. Need anything?
KID
(faintly)
No.
KID is lost in his own world, he looks at two of his toys. He
wears his headphones and joins his online class.
TOY 1
(whispering)
It's too dangerous
TOY 2
It's fine...we've seen him do this
for so many days...stick to the
plan - don't make any noi...
TOY 2 falls down, KID turns around and looks at the toy, he
doesn't think anything of it and turns back to his class.
TOY 1
Just come back...we don't have to
do this.
TOY 2 ignores TOY 1's warnings and continues.
 2.

KID turns around on his chair, seeing this TOY 2 slides under
the bed.
KID
(Surprised)
Wait what!?
TOY 1
CODE - 8, everyone, CODE - 8
KID falls off his chair.
KID
(Scared)
Oh my god, what's going on?
TOY 3 runs up to the door and locks it. KID backs up to the
door while some toys surround him.
TOY 1
(to TOY 2)
Told you this was a bad idea.
TOY 1 (CONT'D)
(to KID)
Okay...listen to me, this might
sound strange but we are alive.
KID
This can't be real, how are you
talking?

TOY 1
Listen kid, just don't tell anyone
about us, we can have fun together
c'mon.
KID
No...No...No...MOM!...MOM!
TOY 2
What's the point kid. No one is
gonna believe you anyway.
KID hits TOY 3 to the ground, unlocks the door and runs out
He falls on the ground.
TOY 1
(to TOY 2)
We just had to stay calm.
TOY 2
Don't cry over spilt milk.
 3.

TOY 2 starts running towards the kid.

TOY 1
But this was your fault.

EXT. ROAD - DAY

KID starts running outside, he runs through the bush instead
of the road in his confusion.
TOY 1 and TOY 2 come out to the porch and watch.
KID comes out of the bush as MOM walks onto the road, KID
calms down, he looks back at the toys and stops in the middle
of the road.
KID (V.O.)
I don't know what happened at that
moment. I was conflicted about what
to do.

INT. ROOM - DAY

KID is sitting down and talking with the toys.
KID (V.O.) (CONT'D)
But I was happy, I had friends.
MOM opens the door and sees KID playing with his toys.
KID
(mimicing)
Listen kid, Don't make me do this.
KID (CONT'D)
What if I do? Mister.
FADE OUT:
