“Moscow, North Korea ‘actively advancing’ arms deal; Russian general appears to
resurface for first time since Wagner mutiny”

A. News Tidbits
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has plans to travel to Russia which makes other
countries think that he is going to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. Both countries are said
to be “actively advancing” in their negotiations about an arms deal that is believed to be used in
the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. President Kin Jong Un would travel from
Pyongyang to Russia’s Pacific Coast city to Vladivostok through an armored train.

B. Analysis
The ongoing war that is happening between Russia and Ukraine has been affecting a lot
of countries and it might get more chaotic with other countries getting involved. It is hard if the
conflict between the two countries will take a long time before it can be resolved since there are
also some countries that are being affected by the actions and decisions that they are making.

C. Policy Recommendations
Implementation of strict adherence to international laws and treaties. Improving the
policies regarding arms export since it is really important that every country knows and follows
the rule of international law.
