We only provide 3DS Max (*.

max) files with V-Ray & Corona materials for this volume,
but we offer material librarys for other renderers. You can find them under path:
MT_Plant_Models_Vol(X)\MT_PM_V(X)_Material_Librarys

There are 3 ways to replace 3DS Max (*.max) files material:

· Using a script ( MaterialsReplacerTool.mse ) that we offered in folder


MT_Plant_Models_Vol(X)\MT_PM_V(X)_Material_Librarys.

· Using "Update Scene Materials from Library" function in 3DS Max Material
Editor.

· Using Forest Pack Pro.

1. Using "MaterialReplacerTool.mse"
MaterialsReplacerTool.mse can automatically batch replace 3DS Max files material in
the same folder.

For batch replace 3DS Max files material:


1.1 Open MaterialsReplacerTool.mse from MAXScript > Run Script, or drag it into 3DS
Max viewport.

1.2 Set mesh files(*.max) folder: The folder contains *.max file, it can be for any
renderer. Normally, it should be under MT_PM_V(X)_Mesh_Corona(Vray)\MT_Plant
Models_Vol(X)

Select material library(*.mat) file: Select material library file you want replaced to
currect selected 3DS Max files. Normally, it should be under MT_Plant_Models_Vol(X)\
MT_PM_V(X)_Material_Librarys

Save as folder: The folder for save replaced 3DS Max files. You can create a new folder
for this.

1.3 After set currect path and material library, then click " Replace Now ", this script will
open 3DS Max one by one and replace the materials with same name in selected
material library for total scene, after that it will save this scene with the same 3DS Max
files name to Save as folder.

2. Using "Update Scene Materials from


Library" function
2.1 Open any 3DS Max (*.max) files in this Volume.

2.2 Open material library file you want update to currect scene. You need change your
material editor to "Slate Material Editor".
2.3 Right click Material library title and select "Update Scene Materials from Library".

2.4 Then Select "All" and Click "OK".

2.5 If you want update all materials at once, you can using Batch Export/Import script
from Jos Balcaen, you can download it here:

Just batch import all 3DS Max (*.max) files in one scene and update all materials at once,
then batch export them.

3. Using Forest Pack Pro


Forest Pack Pro's Library Browser can automatically replace models material by currect
renderer. You just need add our Plant Models to this Library Brower.
3.1 Open Forest Pack Pro library.
Note: You can't add new library when create Forest object, you need access library from
"Modify" panel after this Forest object been created.

3.2 Select File>Preferences

3.3 Click Add button, then assign to "MT_PM_V(X)_Mesh_Corona(Vray)" folder under


this volume of product, this folder contain a file named "mtlib.ms", and set Label as
Maxtree(or any others category) , then click "Use Path" button.
3.4 After add path then click OK to confirm and close Preferences window. you will
see the models shows in Forest pack pro library.

3.5 You can click "Using" drop-down list check supported renderer
